Egypt to Obama: Us First

Egypt came out today with a not very helpful statement on the Iranian issue. A spokes person for President Hosni Mubarak told reporters that despite serious concerns in the Middle East, the question of the Palestinians is on top of anything else. They believe this issue must be dealt with first in a "two state" solution. The Iranian problems will have to wait.

This is an important announcement because Israel and Egypt are the two countries that share the border spaces with the Gaza and the smuggling tunnels issue. Its not really a big surprise Egypt would come out with a statement like this, as they would love to have the Palestinian issues resolved and off of their border.What is a problem is that they are making it as the whole missile and nuclear weapon issue is rising to the surface. It appears that they are sending a message to Washington as well. Either Obama gets them rid of their Palestinian problem or they won't be lining up behind him on the Iranian question.

Before this is over we will have to announce another special envoy, this time one for the "previously unaddressed countries" in the region as I'm sure they will want something too. Can it be that we bring this upon ourselves? If America won't lead others will "go off the reservation" much quicker. By coming to office offering to hear all of the worlds ideas on everything and opening everything to discussion, this is what you get. Unfortunately it does not appear Obama has learned that history lesson yet.

Where did all the Taliban Go?

The real question is that does the Pakistani government know what it's doing or is it trying to fool its people and maybe itself. The big media outlets are all covering the big victory in SWAT, how the Pakistani army is retaking towns and so on. Did anybody really think that the Taliban would stand and fight like a conventional army? They have no tanks or planes, they use hit and run tactics because they are not a standing army. So now we are being told after sending in 20,000 troops into an area they were able to take "back" towns and villages.

The fact that bombings are happening in all the large Pakistani cities means nothing, right? The fact that more civilians were killed than Taliban shows you what exactly? Is the United States military fighting a conventional type battle in Afghanistan against the Taliban? Does the Pakistani government admit that the Taliban were mixing in with the 2 million refugees? Where are the 5000 dead Taliban bodies ?

Those are all very good questions that nobody wants to ask because they want the Pakistani government to look good and look like its winning. Now that we all know that, where did all the Taliban members go? Do they really think they just gave up and went home to farm corn? The fight for Pakistan is not over and the Taliban are not gone. They will be around for some time to come and if we stop watching them they will be back bigger than ever. They have an ideology they are fighting for, a cause they believe in. They will be back, if they ever really left.

Iraq & North Korea - History in the Making - Iran waiting in the Wings

The United States may have one more chance to stop North Korea and shut down its belligerent actions. U.S. intelligence services are saying that it appears the North may be lining up for another missile launch according to satellite data and photos. We have the ability to shoot down any missile they may launch or take it out on the launch pad. If we had done that when they started launching the first long range missile last month, we would probably not be here now.

The North knows that by all accounts it can not win a war of any type with the West. If we call their bluff now we may yet be able to stop them, if not they will continue on their current course. The options for letting them do that is not very appealing. The most recent comparison can be drawn to the Iraq situation we are in now. Everybody seems to have forgotten that after the Gulf war in 1991, we did not finish off Saddam Hussein, we left him in power. Down the road President Clinton expanded and continued the "no fly zones" over the country. We flew those flights for 10 years, does anybody ever ask how much money we spent on that operation, and why not? Iraq fired on our planes all the time, no one said anything, why? Sooner or later we had to do something and we did. It was painful, yes. But what other choice did we have, just keep watching him until he and his family dies out and hope for the best? Not a good choice.


In North Korea we have the same thing, when the North started the Korean War in the early 50's we fought back but we stopped short of crushing them because of China. China at the time could not stop the U.S. military if we had chosen to pursue the fight. We left Kim Jong Ill's father in power, now his son is getting ready to pass the torch to his son. What does this mean for us? Another 50 years of having U.S. troops stationed in South Korea? Does anybody ever ask about the cost we have incurred due to that and why not? How long do we stand by and watch the chances of weapons moving around the world because of a couple bad actors who mean us harm?

In both North Korea and Iraq we had or have, a government bent on getting and using weapons of mass destruction including nuclear weapons. Don't forget Iraq killed tens of thousands with chemical weapons including their own people. We know without doubt North Korea has a large inventory of chemical and some biological weapons. The North is now demonstrating its nuclear capability. We must understand that Iran is involved with this in North Korea, they want nuclear weapons and the North has them. Its pretty simple.

What history has shown is that when the United States is pushed into a war we can not go half way. When we do the problem just comes back worse than before. Iraq proved it and North Korea is doing it again. We did not change anything in the Korean War except to postpone the same type of actions being committed by the North a few decades later. This time they have more powerful weapons that we, the United States, permitted them to develop because we did not make the consequences for their actions high enough. The North Koreans are gambling on Obama watching them finalize their nuke program and doing nothing but talking about.

The real issue here is that other countries around the world are watching this, including Iran and Syria. They have watched India, Pakistan and North Korea go nuclear and nothing was done about it. The Obama administration is floating the idea that maybe Japan and South Korea will want to go nuclear. Why stop there, what about Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan? Won't they want nukes if Iran gets them? This is the exact opposite of what we need to be doing. Spreading nuclear weapons around the world is not a smart idea. Obama pays lip service to stopping proliferation of these weapons but he does not know how, that's becoming obvious.


A wiser person than me said "if we don't learn from history, we will repeat it". We can't afford to repeat history this time, we have always viewed our oceans as a natural barrier working for us, in today's world that won't work. Both North Korea and Iran have demonstrated the will, the technology and the overwhelming desire to overcome this "natural barrier". Lets hope Obama gets some real good advice real soon, otherwise history will repeat itself, only this time we may be on the losing end.

The US deploys F-22's to help with North Korean crisis, the same F-22's cut from the budget

The U.S. Air Force deployed a squadron of F-22 "Raptors" to Okinawa yesterday into today. The F-22 brings a whole new level of operational ability to the region. The F-117 "Nighthawk" has pretty much been replaced by the F-22 in front line service. Everybody remembers the great green footage of the F-117 dropping bombs on downtown Baghdad with ease. These jets were state of the art at the time and could not then as now, be seen on radar.

The F-117's have been put into service with the Air National Guard and will remain there longer than I will be alive. The F-22 presents a radar signature only 10% the size the F-117 did. The F-22 also features what is known as "super cruise", this is the ability of the jet to fly at supersonic speeds without using its afterburner. The F-117 was slow at barely mach 1, the F-22 is a mach 2.3 or greater fighter. This type of speed would put the F-22 over North Korean airspace in less than 30 minutes if needed.

Make no mistake, the F-117 can easily defeat any air defense the North Koreans could mount, the F-22 brings a true "fighter" into role that the Nighthawk can't. The U.S.Navy has an aircraft carrier battle group in the area as well with its compliment of approximately 80 F/A-18 Superhornets. The U.S.Navy also has 2 anti-missile cruisers in the area in case of a hostile missile attack.

The really ironic part of this is that the two main weapons we would use and have deployed are also weapons systems we have cut the funding on and in the case of the F-22, we are stopping further production. It seems that Obama has been in office for a little over 4 months and he has managed to get cut two of our most in-demand weapons programs. Just imagine what he can do in the next 3 1/2 years. Kind of scary ain't it? Back a few years ago when the invasion of Afghanistan first took place a reporter asked then Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld if he could conduct a war in Iraq with his current force. His answer really upset the liberals and Clinton fans. He replied:" You don't go to war with the army you want, you go to war with the army you Have".

In this case we have the "army" George Bush built, not the one Obama wants. See, even the foolish do get lucky from time to time.

Sarah Palin to be Honored in New York

Here we go, Sarah Palin is going to come eastward soon. She is being named the "Honoree of the Year" for 2009 by the Independent Group Home Living Foundation. This will be her first appearance on Long Island, and if the lights go out we know why.

Sarah will be accepting the award on June 7th, on Long Island. This is to be a high profile gala and is attended by federal, state and local government officials. This foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides services and supports people with developmental needs or disabilities. It is a large organization with over 5000 children and adults benefitting from their services. "The annual event is one of the largest affairs on Long Island" said Walter W. Stockton, IGHL's CEO.

Sarah Palin is the mother of a child with Down Syndrome and has become a symbol for people across the country that they can relate to and with. According to IGHL many of their member families look to leaders such as Palin for compassionate attention that she brings to the cause of helping people with disabilities. Nice job Sarah!

Hillary Clinton to North Korea: No more Ak-47's or Gucci for you!

Ok, so how long does the arms sale and demonstration go on in North Korea? The real question is how many more of these missiles does he have to blast off? It's sure enough to sell a couple if he wanted. As Kim Jong Ill continues to have a temper tantrum and garage sale all in one our Secretary of State, Hillary R. Clinton, is doing absolutely nothing. The general consensus was that Kim was testing the new administration who he perceived as weak, it looks like he got his answer, sadly he was right.

The Obama administration's answer is to go to the United Nations, this seems to be the path all democrats take when in office. The outcome will no doubt be the same, nothing will get done as the five permanent members include Russia and China and they hold veto power over anything coming out of the Security Council. This is just a show now for Obama and Hillary to put on. They will show the country how they are taking resolute action and so on and so forth.

Here's the real truth the media won't tell anybody about. Four days ago the Russians came out and said they would not support sanctions that hurt the North Koreans, they would support a tough statement and condemnation, but not harsh sanctions. Now we come to the Chinese, they have said they will also support a letter, but they would consider enforcing the "2006" sanctions placed on the North Koreans for their last nuclear test. The Chinese have never done anything to the North Koreans and they won't start now.

So does anybody want to guess what Hillary is saying now? How about we want the 2006 sanctions enforced and we want new sanctions on "Luxurious Goods and Weapons Sales"! Is this woman on crack or what? What does she want to do, stop selling them Gucci handbags and wallets. Weapons sales, that's a good one, why are they getting weapons shipped in in the first place? I know the main stream media won't report this, but sort through the reports yourself, look at the "new" sanctions being proposed, I couldn't make this up if I tried. Luxury goods, that should to teach them a good lesson, I can hear it now: "remember don't piss off the U.S.Secreaty of State, she'll take your purse away". Watch for a stern letter to follow!

The real Race Problem for Obama

When people think of the word "race" when you say it in the same sentence as President Obama, almost everybody thinks they mean something related to the fact that he is black or at least half black. But things are starting to change and not necessarily for the better. It seems that more and more people are starting to think, myself included Obama is the one with a "race" problem.

It seems that in just the past few days things have really popped out. First he nominates a Hispanic female for the supreme court, everybody goes on about how wonderful she is, but is she? Sonia Sotomayor is a Puerto Rican that was born in New York. When first brought up the news media was telling of her "compelling" personal story and that's all you heard. Things like the Republicans would hurt themselves if they oppose her because of the Hispanic vote. As it turns out it seems she may be a bit of a racist as well. The case in which she ruled that a group of white fire fighters who were seeking promotions and had pasted the test for those promotions were not discriminated against because they were not offered theses same promotions, was the first indication of her thoughts. The promotions were not given to anyone because not a single minority had passed the test. Only white firefighters had passed the test yet they were not promoted, how could this be. I suppose that if your white in her judgement you can not be discriminated against. Then statements surfaced where she made it very clear she felt she was a better person to be a judge than a "white male" because she was a Hispanic female, her words were "superior" not better.

Obama has now come out and said that she should have chosen better words to express herself and then tried to explain what she "really" meant to say. The timing of an announcement that the Department of Justice, under Attorney General Eric Holder has dropped charges against the "New Black Panther Party" probably wasn't the greatest either. It seems that in the election in November 2008, in Philadelphia three members of the New Black Panthers were out in font of a polling site dressed in black wearing berets and one of them was carrying a night stick. These facts were not in dispute. The men are on tape and they have sworn statements from witnesses. The case was filed by the Bush administration in December of last year. Since it was a civil case, a federal court ruled a couple weeks ago,that voter intimidation had in fact taken place by these three men. An injunction was issued against the individual with the baton prohibiting him from carrying it. On May 15th, the Justice Department dropped the case and declined to pursue it further. Imagine if you will three white men dressed in white bed sheets standing in front of a polling place in Selma Alabama. Do you thing they would have dropped the case then?

Racism is racism, period. Black or White or Hispanic, it does not matter. President Obama seems to believe he is president for "Minority America". If these types if incidents had taken place and involved white people, male or female, the main stream media would be screaming bloody murder. Yet, because these are minorities, they say little or nothing and when they do they play it off. You can say what you will, but the more of these types of things that keep happening, the more the excuses wear thin. At some point someone will call him on it, when they do the press will run to his defense as usual. The only question is will anybody be listening when they do?

Why the Rush on Healthcare ?

President Obama is pushing hard for his health care package, he is telling his supporters that they must get it done this year because if they don't it will never happen. Obama believes it will determine if he will be successful as a president, or just another has been. My question is why such a rush to get it done now?

This is one of the largest programs ever undertaken by the United States government, if it undertaken at all. This program could easily bankrupt the country if done wrong, even Democrats admitted that. If the country is going to fundamentally change they way people live and get health care, it surely can be looked at carefully and does not need to be rushed through just to make someone look good, including the president.

Several large problems come up when looking into this program, not the least of which is we don't have any money to pay for it. All of the money Obama needs to pay for his $1 trillion plan is coming from taxes he will be raising in the next few months. Taxes on everything from gas to soda. This man is looking to raise money from new taxes to fund his program. He knows that once taxes start to hit people in the wallet, they will revolt against his plan and he needs to have it in place before this happens. Once it starts he believes it won't be stopped. The economy is not going up anytime soon, we are just loosing less a little slower. Unemployment will hit at least 10% this year, even though he stated it would not. The tax increases must come as he no other way to pay back money we don't have. Yes you can say its "just the rich", but that's not true. The newest is a "value added tax", this amounts to a national sales tax on EVERYTHING!

According to their estimates this could raise hundreds of billions over the next 10 years. This man wants to tax soda, Pepsi, Coke, it doesn't matter, it seems soda adds weight and that costs money that is spent in health care. They want to increase the federal tax on gasoline by 25% to 50%, why, because people are driving less and they need the money in the transportation budget. This man lied over and over again. No new taxes on 95% of the people. Come back in a year and tell me how that working for you.

How about this for a theory, Obama wants health care now because he knows in a year he won't be too popular anymore. I think it was Dick Morris who said "radioactive" is the word. He knows elections next year will probably bring Republican gains in congress and state houses. This will diminish his political clout. If the economy doesn't turn around soon and it won't, he's sunk and he knows it. If he can't get the more controversial plans into place soon he never will. The international situation is really the only wild card in the deck. If we have a terrorist attack inside the the U.S., if it is not soon it will finish him. At some point the American people will start calling it the Obama recession or the Obama war or the Obama taxes, when that happens its over.

Inflation is on the way sooner or later. Higher taxes will crush Americans, higher interest rates are coming. Unemployment is still rising and no end is in sight. If you heard this you would have a hard time convincing anybody we should be taking on the most expensive program ever in the history of the country. Don't forget the Social Security and Medicare problems coming like freight train. How does a rational person justify trying to do something like this now. Simple, he is trying to change the fundamental way America works. I don't know about you, but I don't want the government telling me what I can drink or eat or what kind of car I can drive or telling me who my doctor will be and what treatments I am "permitted" to have.

This is simply his only shot of making it work and he knows it. When the truth comes out and it will over time, when taxes start going up that affect everyone, he knows its over, his socialist dreams will go up in smoke.

The Growing Holder/Napolitano Credibility Gap

The Obama administration is facing a very large credibility gap it has created for itself. There is a bill being circulated through the congress that would allow the Attorney General to prohibit people who are convicted or charged with terrorism related crimes and those he "designates" as terrorists to own or purchase a firearm. While on it face this seems perfectly sane, the problem comes with those he "designates" as terrorists.

If you will remember the firestorm that got started last month when the Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, released a report detailing a very large segment of the population as being potential terrorist threats. These people seemed to be all on the right of the political spectrum, amazing how that happened. Included in the report were conservatives, libertarians, gun owners, veterans, pro-life groups, people who were against immigration and the list went on. This report shows the paranoia that the Obama administration has built in. This list was so bad that people with a political bumper sticker such as "Ron Paul" for president were mentioned.

Now when it comes time to pass what seems like a rational law, people start to object because they can't trust the judgement of their government. The government now wants the power to determine who is a terrorist, without being charged or going to court. The obvious problem is according to reports they release, 75% of the country falls into one category or another. The principle behind the 2nd Amendment is to protect citizens from a tyrannical government. If you say that people can't own a weapon because the government has determined that they are dangerous, the question becomes dangerous to who? This type of thing defeats the entire purpose of the of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. When we can't trust the judgement of our government as a country we have a problem.

The bottom line here is that everybody knows Janet Napolitano is anti-gun, everybody knows Eric Holder is anti-gun, now you want almost 70% of the country, that's the number of gun owners, to trust them on determining how and who can have a gun. The Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security are not the people I want to have determining any of my rights. This is the type of thing that happens when you have an obvious agenda and try to make circumstances fit into your plan. Due process as guaranteed by law is the only way your rights as an American citizen should be infringed on. Criminal convictions in a court of law, not an opion by some political appointee, is the correct answer.

Has the World forgotten about Pakistan

It looks like the world may have forgotten about Pakistan and whats going on there. The North Korean issue dominates the news because they fire a missile every other day. The truth is however, North Korea is most probably not going anywhere anytime soon. Pakistan is still fully engaged in military operations against the Taliban in its own civil war, a war as they call it for their very survival.

This push by the military has been going on for a month now and its starting to wear down the will of the Pakistani people to support the government. This is the exact problem they worried about when it became obvious that this would last more then a few days as best. Pakistan now has over 2.5 million refugees, 200,000 of them living in government run camps that are by all accounts pretty bad. More and more reports are coming out of the area with citizens becoming agitated at the government response. Both in the camps and with the military end of the campaign.

The Pakistani military has been in many cases leveling buildings and small villages by the use of air power or artillery, rather than street to street or house to house fighting. Civilian casualty numbers are higher than the military or insurgent numbers. The real problem here is that the militants are now blending in with the refugees and fleeing the battlefield. Once mixed in they can cause problems in various ways including inciting unrest, bombings and providing information to the Taliban in the field.

The bombing in Lahore, Pakistan has all the marks of an Al-Qaeda style operation. This is not nor will it be the last bombing I'm sure. The Pakistani government has already made it pretty clear they will not go into the tribal areas to pursue the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, they fear heavy casualties and a loss of public support for the offensive. By allowing these areas to remain off limits they are ensuring the return of the original problem.

Lets hope that the rest of the world does not forget about Pakistan, this is a nuclear power more advanced than North Korea and it has inside its borders a large group of dangerous Islamic fanatics who want those nukes.

Obama: CIA Out/FBI In

According to reports the Obama administration is switching its emphasis on how its going to fight terrorism. Obama is following through on his "Global Justice" initiative which takes away the lead role of the CIA in intelligence gathering. The role will now be given to the FBI, under his pal, Attorney General Eric Holder.

The roles change comes as its explained that terrorists in the future who are captured are to be expected to be able to appear in U.S. civilian courts. This further shows that the Obama administration views terrorism as a law enforcement matter or a crime, instead of a military matter or an act of war.

This is the "pre 9/11" mindset people were saying he has, which of course he denied. It should be noted that this is the same school of thought that the Clinton administration shared. Come to think of it, guess who the Assistant Attorney General was then, Eric Holder, imagine that. This moves is also a recognition that Obama most likely does not want to fight the culture at the CIA. He probably believes he can't win, so he will go to a more reliable and friendly organization where he has a "yes" man in charge.

What this really shows is that Obama is weak on terrorism, he wants to put them on trail, what we need to be doing with them is killing them.

Democrats Question Obama on Auto Dealer Cuts

It looks like some Democrats are starting to question the Obama auto plan. Democrats in congress are getting calls from their districts complaining that car dealerships are closing down and taking the jobs with them. The original idea was to save union jobs of course, but those jobs are just at the factories themselves. Obama owes the unions big to be sure, but now that the plans are coming out with local dealerships closing down other people are starting to complain.

Senator Claire McCaskill from Missouri is questioning how the dealerships to be closed were decided upon. She stated she had been contacted by her constituents about this as they are losing their jobs. She brought up several good points including the fact that several of the dealerships being closed were profitable for both themselves and the manufacturer. This is a valid question and since Democrats are now starting to take some heat at home they are asking. The main stream media has buried the fact that the unions may lose 25,000 jobs, but the local dealership cuts are approximately 110,000.

As I said before, new car dealers are approximately 20% of the states sales tax income, that's a lot to have cut into especially now. These dealers employ on average 53 people, they make on average $47,500 a year, plus benefits such as health care and retirement plans. People need to understand that $47k a year could be a very good income depending on where you live, in New York no, in Cheyenne, Wyoming not so bad.

To be honest with you I can't believe they aren't screaming more, the dealers being shut down sell blue collar type vehicles, Jeep, Dodge Trucks, the entire Pontiac line, these are not high end vehicles or imports with big sales tickets. These vehicles are everyday cars tons of regular working people drive. Sooner or later these cuts will start hurting more and more people. The Democrats in Congress know this, they also know that these people vote and that the mid-term elections are next year and Obama's name won't be on the ballet.

Russia signs Nuke deal with Jordan

In Israel the Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is watching how we handle the North Korean situation. He no doubt will use this information in helping to form a plan or response to the Iranian problem which is not going away. If in his mind the United States drops the ball, he may feel he is compelled to act on his own.

For decades the United States has been seen as the protector of Israel, the world accepts the fact that if it was not for the U.S., the Arabs would have overrun Israel long ago and this is probably true. If this has changed then the response by Israel will also change. Other developments in the region I am sure also have them concerned.

A good example may be the recent deal signed between Russia and Jordan. The Russians have agreed to a 10 year deal in which they would help Jordan start a nuclear power program. They would build reactors and train the Jordanians on nuclear power. While Jordan is a moderate Arab state this is still a little unnerving I'm sure. Hillary attacks Israel for expanding settlements and Obama tells them they have to accept a two state solution and don't touch Iran either.

How and when Israel will react is not known, but they will react. If they see the region going nuclear they will no doubt wish to follow and have their own new nuclear power plants, then what? If Russia continues to expand its role in the Middle East this can't be good for the United States. We are being challenged on all fronts today, lets see how Obama reacts or if he just ignores whats happening and hopes it goes away.

What's Hillary going to do about North Korea and China?

I love watching the news, Hillary Clinton talking about there will be "consequences" for North Korea's actions. Really? Again this is something nobody wants to say, but nothing will happen to North Korea and Obama and his entire administration know it. They are out making it look good but that's all they can do.

To start with everybody knows that we have no effect on North Korea, they know we won't attack them and they know nothing else we do will matter. I've said this many times, just because someone is your adversary it doesn't mean they are stupid. This rule applies to the North Koreans as well. Experts all agree that without China wanting to control them, its not going to happen, this is correct. China is the key, the North Koreans know that as well. China can shut them down but they won't.

Now ask yourself what was the first thing Hillary did when taking office as the Secretary of State, answer, she went begging to China for more loans, 100's billions more. Now everybody in the world knows we owe China a ton of money, money they are worried about getting back. If we need to borrow more money in the future, where else can Obama go but back to China begging again? Since we owe them and they don't owe us, what leverage do we have on the Chinese to get them to act? How about none. Yes we can encourage Japan to go nuclear, but that's it. The Chinese don't fear anything other than North Korean refugees and they could stop that if they wanted to.

So lets see here, we need China to push down on North Korea because as we have said, they are the only ones with the leverage to do it. This is kind of like you loaning money to a friend of a friend, then a few days later the original friend comes back and tells you that you need to help their friend again with something else. Unless you really like that person, you probably would say no. How could that person make you help them? They couldn't right? We as a country are in the same spot.

We owe China vast sums of money, they don't owe us anything. What favors can we call in? We borrowed money for Obama's social expansion from a traditional adversary. We borrowed so much money in fact, that they are now telling us about proper monetary policy. China doesn't really like the U.S., they are worried about their national interests not ours. The North Koreans understand the financial situation we are in, they know we have nothing to offer China except one thing. Taiwan. Would we back away completely from Taiwan? We don't have much else to trade anymore. Could this be coordinated between North Korea and China to see how we will react? Why would this be so hard to believe? Everyone assumes this is just the North going crazy again and wanting attention, what if its a little more complicated than that?

Countries all over the world would love to see the United States pull back from its dominating position in the world, some of are so called friends included. NY Synagogue Bombers were "Brainwashed" by the FBI

The National Association of Muslim American Women (NAMAW) is saying the FBI entrapped the 4 nit wits arrested last week in New York on terrorism charges, because they are Muslims. The fact that they thought they had 4 real bombs and a Stinger Missile doesn't matter to them, its all a plot.

NAMWA appealed to the U.S.Justice Department to investigate the case after they accused the FBI of running a campaign against Muslims. NAMWA said the FBI " is creating the illusion that all Muslims are either terrorists or potential terrorists, thereby substantiating the use of racial and religious profiling on Muslims and Arabs". They further went on to say the FBI brainwashed and coaxed vulnerable men into the trap so they could foil their own terrorist plot.

According to police, one of the "brainwashed terrorists" said they wanted to create a fireball that would make the country gasp. They believed they had already planted a live bomb outside a Jewish Synagogue and were on their way to plant more when they were arrested. These men are convicted felons, who converted to Islam while in prison, no one brainwashed them into that. I think the FBI has better things to do other than finding four ding dongs and making up this grand scheme to make themselves look good. When a group comes out with charges such as these, they run the risk of discrediting their entire cause or organization. Associating yourself with defending terrorists is a sure way to get people to think your organization is sympathetic to their cause. That is exactly what this group is.

North Korea - The K-Mart of Weapons is running a "Blue Light Special"

The real problem with North Korea is that they are simply putting on a show for all the potential buyers they are trying to line up. Iran and Syria being at the top of the list. With the successful testing of their newest nuke they now have a hot commodity for sale. You can see this by their extremely agitated response to South Korea announcing they were now joining in with the "Proliferation Security Initiative" being run by the United States. The North is threatening to attack shipping along its west coast. This is in response to the South, the North is telling them that if they attempt to board any of their ships it will mean war again.

North Korea has also restarted its Plutonium operations at Yongbyon according to U.S. intelligence reports. The Iranians were in North Korea for the tests and the North was in Iran last month when they launched their "rocket". The Iranians are no doubt working both ends against the middle here to get the best deal. One thing none of the "experts" is talking about is a plan "B". Everyone believes Iran wants nukes and now they can buy one from the North. That's kind of a no brainer. Trading missiles and the tech to make them work, that goes without saying. The fact they both hate America is a given.

Try this for plan "B". The Iranians are working on their own nuclear program full speed ahead, they as much as told Obama to go pound sand. Now what Iran really wants is the U.S. out of the Middle East, it would give them a free hand over the region. If they could get a bomb or two, not for themselves, not for their missiles, but for Hamas or Hezbollah. They will make their own bombs in time, but with the addition of being able to run America from the region, they would be in no rush. Use a terrorist organization to strike Israel or an American base in Iraq or Afghanistan and cause huge lose of life. They believe that America has no stomach for death, they remember Beirut and the Marine barracks. Explode one or two and start making demands until people give in. They believe Obama is weak and he won't fight unless cornered and they will leave him a way out for sure. The way out will be for the United States to withdraw from the region.

Now put this is in the mix, the Russian Navy is for the first time docking in Bahrain, home of the U.S. Fifth Fleet in the Persian Gulf. It along with the Iranian Navy is using the "pirate patrol" story to cover their actions. Again, this can be laid right at the feet of President Barrack Obama, who ordered U.S. warships to reduce their numbers in the gulf so as to create a "positive" atmosphere for the coming U.S. talks with Iran. This man is truly a fool. The Russians and Iranians are taking advantage of his foolish behavior they see as weak, they are now expanding their operations outside the Straights of Hormuz and for Russia its traditional sphere of influence.

Obama still is walking around saying we are going to the UN, now he has them scared.

The real danger in North Korea is that the leadership will trade, buy, sell or give away nuclear technology, its not the 28,000 U.S. troops in South Korea they worry about. Obama is falling into the same trap the liberals and he used against Bush, they said he didn't find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, not true. The components were all there, the equipment to assemble and manufacture them was there and most importantly, the people who knew how do put it all together were there. They had the world thinking that this was going to be like World War 2, all the old pictures you see of planes and tanks sitting in Germany after we overran them. Not so my friends. These weapons are easy to make, easy to assemble and fast to get into action. North Korea is worried about the South stopping and searching its ships. OK fine, but what are the allies looking for, a suitcase full of plutonium? How about the guys who know how to fix the little problems the Iranians may be having at home. What are they going to do, arrest or detain people for travelling on a boat, I think not. You can send a few key people and e-mail whatever else they may need to finish the job in Iran.

We don't know for certain how much enriched material Iran may have, but it really doesn't matter any more. Obama had better get in the game fast, or we could be facing a real nightmare in the next few months. What I mean by getting in the game, is not talking them to death, because as he should be able to see by now, they don't care what he has to say. If we do not act now, strongly, we will have another North Korea in Iran. The difference is Iran won't wait around to use the bomb like North Korea. The reason is simple, Kim Jong Ill, wants to survive and have his son take over the country, he knows an attack with a nuke will be the end of him and his country. the Iranians are run by a nut case who's looking for some kind of Mullah from heaven to come help him. The Mullah's who run Iran for real are worse yet. These people revel in death, they have followers who would love to die fighting the "Great Satan". Lets hope that Obama starts to understand this sooner rather than later.

The Barrett M82A1, Now thats a Rifle!

Once a week I like to do a post on a weapon of some kind. This week I picked one of my personal favorites, the Barrett M82A1 rifle. This thing is absolutely fantastic to shoot. I bought one about 4 years ago and have never regretted it. I bought the "CQ" version which has a shorter barrel but other than that it is the same weapon. For anybody considering buying a .50BMG caliber weapon, this is really the top of the line. These weapons were originally designed for military use and as such they fire both military and commercial ammunition. That by itself is a big deal. I have never had a malfunction of any kind with my rifle and I have several hundred rounds down range with it.

If you can buy the rifle as a package deal, most law enforcement dealers can help you with this. In the package you get two 10 round magazines, the bi-pod, the rear mono-pod and the rifle will come mounted with a quality maker scope, most times its a Leupold 4.5-14x50mm, Mark 4. You get all this in a plastic hard case with wheels. Since extra mags are over $100.00 anytime you can get one, take it. These rifles weigh approximately 34 lbs with the scope and rings mounted so its not a "carry all day" gun. With the shorter barrel on mine its still about 4 feet long when assembled. Taking it apart for storage or cleaning is simple, pull two pins in the lower receiver and your ready to go. The weapon comes with a brush in its own little cleaning kit, but if you use Shooter's Choice solvent and Break Free as a lubricant your good to go.

Shooting the rifle is easy and fun. The recoil because of the muzzle brake they use is very manageable, you can shoot 50 to 100 rounds without a problem, try that with a light weight 12 gauge or a .338 Win Mag rifle. These really are well done weapons. I have a good friend who wanted his 12 year old son to shoot it, this is small framed boy that must not have weighed more than 90 lbs or so. After holding his breath and changing colors a few times, he finally squeezed the trigger, and guess what he lived! He lived so much he fired 4 more rounds that were in the magazine.

The rifle from a bench on its bi pod shoots a baseball sized group at 200 yards for me. I don't think this is bad at all considering each hole is half an inch. I have seen reports that the military is using them to score hits out well beyond 1000 yards, after shooting it I can believe what they are saying. The issue I mentioned about the ammunition is very important in these rifles. Most rifles will fire military ammo, but many of the bolts will jam and need to be tapped open with a mallet. The cases swell causing the rifle to be very hard to open after firing. I watched the same ammo I was using in the Barrett, jam shut another manufactures bolt, three times in a row. Barrett also makes a bolt version and I have never fired one, but if the semi is good to go with military ammo I would not see why the bolts are not. You should check with them if you are going to buy one.Barrett offers a back pack for this thing, so I guess you can take your rifle with you, now you just need an ammo bearer and your all set. Honestly, I don't know what you need to take this rifle camping for. I know what its real purpose is. I know that this weapon will stop vehicles as well as people and it will disable equipment of all kinds.These really are great weapons, many in government want to ban them, simply because they are very powerful. This is not the type of gun you hold up a gas station with, unless the gas station is in Afghanistan. I don't know of any reports of this weapon being used in a criminal act anywhere, except maybe in Mexico by drug dealers who have gotten their hands on Mexican Military weapons.If you are going to buy one just be prepared for the price, I think they are going for about $9000.00 for the combo package. The other cost is ammo, its running around $4.00 per round right now. Most people will never buy one, but if you get an opportunity to shoot one, by all means do so. One other thing that's real nice about this weapon, it really pisses off the anti-gunners.

We Need to call Boeing Now!

Where is my gal Nancy Pelosi at, she was just getting to be so much fun I kinda miss her a little. Last I heard she took off in a jet and went to China, don't worry, she managed to dodge that whole pesky "human rights" issue. The last press conference she had wasn't a press conference it was more of a speech, she just wouldn't talk about anything.

Vice President Joe Biden, he's gone too. Seems he got on a jet a flew to the Middle East, he's out helping with elections. The last I heard from him he was mumbling something about "GITMO being like Pandora's Box". I really miss having Joe around, its nice now because we can even find him in his secret bunker because he wanted us to know where he was at all times.

I think there may be a pattern here, if you embarrass Obama he puts you on a jets and sends you to the other side of the planet. How do you think Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State anyway? Did you really believe he thought she could actually do the job?If we could just be so lucky to have Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano go somewhere soon. I just hope we don't run out of jets.

Is Obama selling out Israel ?

Is Obama selling out Israel? At least a large portion of Israeli's are starting to think so. Caroline Glick, deputy editor of the Jerusalem Post is reporting some pretty scary things. She is claiming that when the Director if the CIA was in Israel last week, Leon Panetta read the "riot act" to the Israeli government about attacking Iran. She is reporting from her sources that the Obama administration has already conceded that Iran will develop a nuclear weapon and they have accepted that fact. She states that the Obama administration believes that if Israel leaves Iran alone they will play nice.

If this woman is right, and there is every reason to believe she is in her reporting, Obama is worse than naive, he is dangerous. Obama and his team believe that we can deter the Iranians just like we did the Russians for decades. The mutually insured destruction principle, or MAD for short. This principle will not work with the Iranians for a couple very good reasons. First, they don't care about death the way we do. They believe in many cases it is an honor to die. Second, they will just give a bomb to a terrorist organization and have them smuggle it into Israel and by doing so create confusion as to where it came from, of course they will deny any knowledge of such things.

It makes perfect sense that Obama would take this approach. He knows sanctions by the U.N. will do no good on Iran. He will not go to war over their developing a nuclear weapon, as no doubt would happen if we strike their facilities. He believes and he is probably correct in this assessment, that if Israel attacks Iran the same outcome will take place, a larger war in the Middle East. So he is developing a policy of hear no evil, see no evil, I don't even know what evil is approach.

Where I believe he is going wrong is that the Arab states in the region do not want a stronger Iran either. They, with just reason, fear an Iranian attack on them. Over the weekend Iran sent 6 warships to patrol the Gulf of Aden, the Saudis can't be happy about that. They claim they are patrolling for pirates. What they are doing is trying to show the world they are a regional power who must be dealt with on their terms.

Now here is the part I don't understand at all. Please believe me when I say I am not an expert on the Jewish people or faith. Jews in this country overwhelmingly voted for Obama, they supported him with votes and dollars. If they take an interest in the Jewish state of Israel, which I believe most do, are they aware that this may be going on and if they are, what are they doing about it? This scenario spells the end of Israel, sooner rather than later. I can't believe they would just stand by and watch as this takes place. If they do, they have lost there way as a people and religion, their past in particular should be ringing bells all over for them.

Obama knows he can't just close his eyes and let Israel strike Iran, they would need to fly through Iraqi airspace which we control. This means if they do attack, we were at a minimum aware it was taking place. It looks like Obama will need to decide soon what side of this issue he will come down on. Will he side with Israel and the rest of our allies in the gulf, or will he turn a blind eye to Iran? Watching how he fails miserably to handle the North Korean nuke testing should give us some indication what will happen.

Obama's Dream vs The American Dream

All we hear almost everyday is that Obama doesn't want to run the car companies, funny he now has two. What people need to understand is that if you approach this from a different angle it makes what he doing make total sense. Think about this, Obama is pushing his green agenda, in that is his cap & trade policy, now by his own admission this will significantly raise the cost of all forms of energy, electric, gas, oil and coal. Now if you assume he understands that gas will be at $5.00 a gallon in the near future and he saw the reaction when it hit $4.25 last year, he knows that people will want smaller more fuel efficient vehicles.

Further he knows that the economy can not run with gas prices at $4.00 plus per gallon. He has just raised the CAFE standards for the auto makers to levels they can't reach today. 35mpg for cars, 30mpg for light trucks. This will mean smaller, lighter cars no matter how you look at it. With the government in charge of the car companies he is placing his people on the boards of GM and Chrysler so as to ensure he gets what he wants. Obama knows that unless gas prices go up, people will not want his little green cars and his auto plan will fail.

Obama is trying to control both ends of the game. One one side he is creating policy's he knows will raise energy costs through cap & trade. On the other side he is creating an alternative for people, the alternative he wants them to have. Smaller greener cars, which since he is in control of the car makers he can do. Obama is not stupid, neither are his advisers, they know Americans don't want small cars, they know Americans don't want higher energy cost's. They also know that unless you force both you will never get them into place. If left alone the capitalist system would drive these policy's underground. So what he is attempting to do is to manipulate the system from both ends to get what he wants.

In the mean time the U.S. economy will be paying a terrible price for his dreams. America needs energy, we are the engine of growth for the world, that's how we got to where we are. We can not grow and expand and continue to offer the "American Dream" to people without energy. Most don't want to work for the government, they want to succeed in life and do better for themselves and their families. A study a green jobs from Spain indicated that for every green job created, they lose three regular ones. This is the path Obama is choosing. Look this stat up, this is no joke, Spain has been on the forefront of green energy, these are their numbers, 3 to 1 job lose ratio. We can't afford that in this country, we are already in bad enough shape.

What is happening here is that Obama is substituting his dream for the real one, the American Dream. If Americans don't stop him soon, we will just end up in a long nightmare instead.

"The List of Not so Nice People"

Remember the Bush speech when he made the famous statement calling Iraq, Iran and North Korea the "Axis of Evil"? I do and I remember all the Democratic whining and crying about him being a war monger. I think everyone agreed that Syria was kind of a junior member of the group and never really got the attention they deserved. Well I guess good things come to those you wait, because now they can move up on the list. I'm sure the list isn't' the same any more, kind of like the overseas contingency operation.

The Obama administration is having its troubles it seems with these people, so we can call the axis list something new, like the "list of not so nice people". Sounds like something Democrats can get their hands around, not too hostile but just the right balance of telling them that they aren't too nice either. Washington looks like a deer in the headlights, guess what happens to the deer.

Iran has told Obama to take a hike, North Korea pretty much did the same thing. Syria said no to Washington when it comes to terrorism and Iran and staying out of Iraq. This talking to our enemies is going good so far. This is were it gets serious. Iran now has long and medium range solid fuel missiles, that can threaten Europe and the Middle East including Israel. North Korea just tested another nuclear bomb underground and at the same time launched 3 new medium range missiles that are nuclear capable. Syria is funding and arming militants in Hamas and sending them into Iraq and to Israel. They are being funded by Iran who openly admits it. Obama is now preparing to go to the United Nations about the North Korean test, nothing will come of this.

It is not a stretch to believe that Iran helped North Korea with their missile program and in return North Korea is helping with the Iranian nuke program. Iran has made it clear that they will attack Israel if they get the bomb and sources are now reporting that the Obama administration has told Israel that Iran will go nuclear and that they will not go to war over it. Iran will use Syria to get bombs inside Israel in a first strike posture, they can deny any involvement since they did not attack directly and Obama will not respond because he won't have solid proof Iran was involved. Israel will pay a heavy price in this event.

This would explain why the Obama administration is now open to the U.A.E. getting nuclear power, even thought they sit on enough oil to fuel the world for a 100 years. The Obama administration approved the deal to transfer nuclear technology to them a week ago. It looks like "the list of not so nice people "will be making life interesting for Obama, who was not elected to handle such things, Americans overwhelmingly voted on economic issues, not national security and defense. Lets hope we don't end up paying a high price for his inexperience and naive beliefs.

Tax Holiday on Gun Purchases! Oops, just in Louisiana

This is something that I'm sure of a lot of you would like to see. The state of Louisiana is trying to pass a law establishing a "2nd Amendment Weekend" and on that weekend to give a sales tax holiday on firearms and related purchases. Both houses of the state government seem poised to pass their bills.

This is such a turn around from the Katrina days when you had School Bus Nagen confiscating firearms in the wake of the hurricane in New Orleans. The NRA had to get federal judges to order the mayor to stop his illegal actions. It took 2 years to get most of the guns back to their rightful owners.

It look like Louisiana is taking steps to ensure that type of behavior never happens again. If this kind of thing could catch on around the country it would boost business to sporting goods retailers and reaffirm the governments commitment to the 2nd Amendment and your rights. Good move Louisiana!

North Korea Tests a Nuke - Wasington Doesn't see it Coming

North Korea has tested another nuclear weapon today according to them and Russia. They claim that the test along with the firing of 3 short range missiles took place and was a huge success. The test as per Russia, had a yield 10 times greater than their first test. This would make the bomb approximately the size of the Hiroshima bomb.

The real problem here is that our intelligence services had no idea that this was going to take place. Neither did the Obama administration. Special envoy Bozworth just two weeks ago said he thought everything was fine and the six party talks would resume soon, guess he had that one wrong. Obama comes out with a statement that this is a threat to our national security, boy is smart.

North Korea knows that nothing will come from this as they believe Obama is weak and inept. They are probably right. We will no doubt hear about the United Nations and how sanctions are forth coming. Hillary Clinton will be involved in crisis diplomacy for days to come, meetings will be called in the middle of the night at the U.N., Obama will come out talking like he really means it this time, but nothing will change. North Korea will do whatever they want and Obama won't stop them.

With the great level of cooperation between North Korea and Iran it is only a matter of time that Iran has nuclear weapons. But of course Leon Panetta says Iran stopped weaponizing their nuclear program in 2003. So we have nothing to worry about. We are waiting until the end of the year to see if Iran comes around according to Obama.

North Korea just showed how much respect they have for our new president, this did not happen under Bush. The Iranians just shrug off the talk in Washington and launch new missiles both medium and long range. Why is it starting to appear that the world knows something the American public missed when they voted last year.

GMAC to get $14 Billion in Bailout Money

The government is about to give GMAC, the financial arm of General Motors, another $7 billion with another $7 billion to follow later. Remember that GMAC was just given all of the Chrysler Auto Finance loans, or at least that's the plan. It looks like the Obama administration hasn't heard about the American public not wanting to give any more money in bailouts. But why would they want to listen to the public anyway, right?

New numbers are coming out that project by the end of the year the total amount of money given to General Motors and Chrysler will total approximately $100 billion. And here's the best part, its for 2 companies that will be bankrupt and owned by the unions and the government. Now that's a good investment if I ever saw one. The way Obama is going he can't print money fast enough to keep up with his spending. We will run out of ink and not have any money to buy more.

Memorial Day is viewed as the start of summer by most people in the U.S., but it is really a day when everyone needs to remember who made all of this possible. Pakistani Government Backs Down to Taliban

The government in Pakistan is now backing off its claim that they will follow through on their assault on the Taliban into the Waziristan area. This is a critical decision that may end up hurting the government in the long run. Waziristan is located in what is known as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, this is outside of the 4 normal provinces of Pakistan. This area is and has been under Taliban control for years, it is also a known hide out for Al-Qaeda and it is believed by many that Osama Bin Laden is there.

The real problem is that attacks against Afghanistan and Pakistan proper have been launched from this area. American troops on whole can not cross the border from Afghanistan and Pakistani troops won't go into the area. This leaves the militants untouched and free to rebound and come back again. If they do this, the next time they will be smarter in trying to gain control of Pakistan itself.

The Pakistani government is in fear of a large body count on both sides if they press the attack into the tribal areas. They also fear that with over 1.9 million refugees already, they could lose public support for the offensive. The media is reporting all these great Pakistani military victories, yet many areas are still unsecured after fighting in them for 3 or 4 weeks. Refugees in many cases are in fear to return to their homes and are starting to question the governments response.

If Pakistan refuses to press the attack into Waziristan it will be facing this situation again in the future even if they do manage to survive this time. Obama would be wise to push the government in Pakistan to finish the job, if they don't they should consider turning a blind eye to U.S. troops doing it for them.

Democrats crying over treatment of Pelosi

This is pathetic, The Democrats are crying because of Republicans beating up on poor old Nancy(I can't remember)Pelosi. They are crying about a new video out with the theme of the James Bond movie, Gold Finger. The female villain in the movie was called "Pussy Galore", and the liberals believe that the reference is to a part of a woman's anatomy and that it is being compared to Nancy Pelosi. Let me tell you two things, one is obvious to me, this is a stretch at best as no one ever called her a female body part that I am aware of. Second is that Heather Blackman played the role of Pussy Galore in the movie and she is way better looking than Nancy Pelosi will ever be. If she is being compared to her, she should take it as a compliment and be silent.

Whats a joke here is that the left attacked Sarah Palin everyday in the most personal ways possible. Nothing was off limits, her marriage, her family, even her daughter who just had a baby. She was called some of the most vulgar names you can think of as was her family and even her religion was attacked. It seems to me that none of them have any room to be speaking about being respectful to a woman, they don't even know what that means.

Nancy Pelosi brought this on herself by spinning a tale and then not being able to remember what she lied about. She mumbles and fumbles her way in front of the cameras in what has to be the worst press conference by anyone ever, but that's OK, don't you criticize her that's not fair. Give me a break. She's an opportunist who got burned because she lied, its that simple. They can try to frame it anyway they want and she's still gonna be a liar. If Democrats had any convictions at all they would call for her removal as speaker, don't hold your breath for that to happen. They have an answer instead, if we just keep her muzzled everybody will forget about what she said and what happened. I can only speak for myself, but that's not going to happen anytime soon and if enough people feel that way, she won't be able to forget either.

Israel Can Not Stop Iranian Missile Threat

Israel has announced that it has no adequate defense against the new threat posed by Iran's latest missile. Western military sources are telling Israel that Iran is at least 2 or 3 years ahead if their missile defenses.

Israel uses the Arrow 2 anti-missile system which can intercept a missile like the latest Iranian Sejil-2, but it can do it only at very close range. The upcoming Israeli Arrow 3 won't be operational for several years according to reports coming out of Israel. The U.S. Patriot system is also of no use again for the same reasons, very limited range. Depending on the war head on the missile this is a dangerous proposition at best, to try these systems.

It appears that the Obama administration in its hurry to play nice with the world by cutting funding for the interceptor missile program, may have just blundered again. The original purpose behind the program was to protect from just this type of threat. But in his wisdom, he cut it. Not only does the Iranian missile launch expose Israel it also leaves open half of Europe to attack as well as all of our own troops deployed in the Middle East. Once again, a nice move by Washington, now all they need is a nuke to go with them.

Do the Republicans need a Leader Now?

Everywhere you turn in the news all you hear is how the Republicans are directionless or leaderless. I have an interesting point of view on that and I would like to share it with you. It is true that the Republican party has no single leader, but at this point in time, do we need one? Its almost like the liberals and the Democrats are more worried about it then the Republicans are.

I believe it would only serve to benefit the Democrats if we had a central figure. This would give them someone to attack and go after on every issue that come up. Look at it this way, every time Obama goes somewhere he reaches in his pocket and pulls out George Bush. Yes he says all the time he doesn't want to look back, but when in trouble that's where he goes. Why? Simple, because there is no one else to blame and he's in charge. Sooner or later that stunt will get old with the American people and when it does he will pay the price. If the economy doe's not turn around soon, or if the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan go badly he will be the only one out there for the public to blame and he knows this and so do the liberal media.

Republicans and conservatives need to focus on next years mid-term elections, in case nobody has told you, Obama is not on the ballot. If the Democrats have no one to direct their fire at they are lost, all they will be doing is sitting there getting hammered day in and day out as they are completely in charge. Imagine every time a person running for a house seat is questioned about backing Obama on raising taxes, with the "you voted for it" line. Or how about the rising unemployment rate, if they supported the president and voted with him, they go down with him too. You can see this line of reasoning starting to take hold in the Democratic party.

Look at the recent bills involving the gun debate, first on the D.C.voting rights bill and then again on the Credit Card bill, both had pro gun amendments attached to them with a large portion of Democratic help. They know that if they go on record against firearms they will be hammered with it as in 1994. Republicans did not vote with Obama on the Stimulus Bill or his bloated budget. They are beginning to understand that if you make the Democrats in congress individually responsible you can take them on one at a time. That's how we can win a large number of seat in both the house and the senate next year. When the Majority Leader in the Senate is at a 38% approval rating in his home state, it doesn't matter what his national numbers are because they don't vote in Nevada.

With no one to play off of, the Democrats have tried Rush as the leader but that didn't work. Now they are saying its Dick Cheney and how he is hurting the Republican party. If they really believed that Obama would not have been out giving a defensive speech on national security, his weakest point. Cheney has forced the liberals to react to what he is saying, he knows that changing the national debate is how Republicans can win. Letting Obama run around day to day spreading his joy is nothing but trouble for conservatives as we look like nothing but fireman. I believe Dick Morris may be right, Obama is the best person for the Republicans. We have a couple years until the next presidential election to find a good candidate. Right now we need to get the house and senate back if possible, someone running for president won't help us do that.

He Signed It!

This is a picture I would bet all of the money I have to my name, Obama never thought he would be in. That would President Obama signing the Credit Card Bill with an amendment attached to it by the congress, that made it legal for people with concealed weapons permits to carry firearms in national parks.

Honestly now, how many people ever thought he would sign into law anything pro gun? I bet it wasn't Sarah Brady. I just can't tell from the photo if thats ink in the pen or blood.

Let James Harrison Alone!

People really need to get a grip. I saw several articles slamming Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison because he decided not to go to the White House to meet President Obama. He said that it was not a big deal to him and that Obama would have invited Arizona if they had won.

I don't care if he went or not. I don't care why he didn't go, it was his choice. What upsets me is that because he chooses not to see Obama, sports writers have called him a variety of names, all of which were insults. They were calling him stupid, they said he has no style, they said he didn't understand what he was doing and so on.

The Steelers are the Superbowl Champions and Harrison did his part to help them get there and win. This is what people need to be focused on, not just the political aspect of the story and that is what they are clamoring about. How dare he not go to see Obama? Simple, he didn't want to. The last time I checked, he still had the right to decide where he goes and who he sees. If this man chooses to stay home and watch cartoons in his pajamas, that's his choice.

It was clear to me that the only reason they attacked him is because Obama was in office, if this had been George Bush they would have commended him for not going. The truth is no matter who is in the White House, the Steelers still won the Superbowl and he is still part of the team. Get over it!

Exactly Who was Tortured?

The press is making a big deal about how people were tortured, Obama said water boarding is torture. The only thing you hear is torture, torture, torture. Here are a few facts most people don't know about the United States uses of water boarding.

The total number of people it was used on was 3. Only 3. One of those was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the principle planner of the 9/11 attacks and a top Al-Qaeda leader. This person had information about other attacks being planned against the U.S. at home and abroad. This person refused to talk on his own, even though we asked very politely. At this point what exactly would you have the government do, since we all believed another attack was pending? Doesn't the government have a responsibility to protect Americans?

Another person it was used on was Abu Zubaydah, again another leading Al-Qaeda figure, placed near the top of command of the organization. Already convicted in absentia in Jordan for bomb plots to attack U.S. and Israeli sites in Jordan. A top recruiter and planner, he is thought to have played a large role in the East African U.S. Embassy bombings. We asked him nicely too, but he refused to talk.

What we do know for certain is that attacks on the U.S. homeland were stopped to include a bank tower in California. We do know that the current Director of National Intelligence wrote an internal memo confirming that the use of water boarding had been extremely effective in obtaining vital information. We also know that 4 former CIA Directors agree with his assessment. We know that no further attacks took place to date.

We also know that the use of water boarding by the CIA and other intelligence services was stopped in 2005 and it has not been used since. There is one exception to that, but no one seems to be complaining about it. The news never even mentions it, why? Because the people we are using it on are our own armed forces. It has been used in training for years for some on our best warriors. They include pilots, Navy Seals, Army Special Forces, Air Force Para-rescue teams and the like. So I guess if you listen to Obama, we are torturing our own soldiers. I wonder when he will come out and order a stop to such training.

The whole torture debate is nothing more than fake liberal outrage, if they were serious they wound be beating down the White House doors, since Obama seems to have validated most of the Bush administration tactics in the "overseas contingency operation". Who knows, the next thing we will hear is that water boarding is a "man caused event". I don't know, but I sure do love these new terms liberals use, what about you?

Who's Watching You?

Are you being visited on your web site? I was twice in a week. The first time was after I wrote a post about the Attorney General, Eric Holder. A few hours later I had a visit to my site from the U.S.Department of Justice in Washington D.C. I thought that was kind of different but no big deal. Then it happened again, this time I had written a post about the credit card bill and the provision that was added allowing people to carry guns in national parks. I mentioned that it was an Dept. of Interior rule that this law would supersede. The next morning the Department of Interior in Denver Colorado showed up on my little site tracker.

I follow other sites and guess what, on Tuesday I got the e-mail I normally do and the blogger was asking if any of his readers had been visited by the federal government on their sites, it seems he had a visit from the Department of Homeland Security the day before. Now this is a "survivalist" site, but they do not advocate violence in any form, they are pro-gun and they do push be prepared by storing food and other supplies. It seems like there may be a lot of interest out there from our government about what people are saying about them. A little paranoid maybe?

It appears to me that the profiles we have heard so much about may be in place as they seem to be watching for some reason. Who Do You Want Protecting You & Your Family?

After the presidents speech yesterday I can't believe any body voted for this man. He blamed America, not the terrorists. He said we lost our way and made mistakes and compromised our values. I don't share his values. I believe keeping Americans safe is the primary duty of the United States government, remember the whole "protect and defend" line?

America was listening to a man who was defensive and did not want to make this speech. He wants to be out socializing America. Obama was forced into a corner because he got his butt handed to him in the last week or two, mostly by a "has been ex vice president". Cheney beat him like a dog. What I found myself thinking is: Who do I want protecting me and my family?

Obama was there because he had to be, Cheney was there because he believes in what he is saying. That's a huge difference. Even Democrats in congress found his speech wanting. All any one of them could say was that they are waiting on his plan because they know he must have one. Great, he couldn't even sell his own party.

Obama's whole speech was criticizing the Bush administration, the man is a complete hypocrite and a lair. Obama has decided to continue the indefinite detentions that he screamed about during the campaign. He has restarted the military tribunals he whined about. He is still using the wire tap laws he said violated civil rights. He has reserved for himself the right to allow enhanced interrogations, you know the whole torture thing he was talking about yesterday. He blocked the release of the detainee photos he originally wanted released. This man is a total fraud. For people to believe him they have to be brain dead. The best part is as he was standing there telling everybody he doesn't want to re litigate the past, that was the only thing he could talk about.

If liberals heard this speech, why is there no outrage on all the news networks? This man is doing all the things he criticized the Bush administration for, yet they say nothing. Until the liberals and the left realize you must stand for something, not just against everything, they will lose more credibility every day. I answered my own question, I'll take the "has been ex vice president" every day.

Liberals - The Blame America First Coalition

What is it about liberals, they seem to run the "Blame America First" coalition. What we have now is a president who is leading the way. We are told that GITMO is a terrorist recruiting tool. OK, I guess that we must have done something terrible in 1993, you know, the first World Trade Center bombing. Yeah that must have been pretty bad. Then I know for sure that we did something in 1998 when 2 of our African Embassies were bombed. For sure we did something in 2000 when the USS Cole was attacked, right? See what I am having a problem with is that I know we could not have done anything evil then because we had Bill Clinton as president and since he's a Democrat that would be impossible.

By 2001 I guess that evil George Bush did something as soon as he got in office, yep he just couldn't wait. That's why we had 9/11 right? Now we are being told that using enhanced interrogation techniques is a recruiting tool. Then Abu Ghraib, the whole prison thing, that's a terrorist recruiting tool too. Now we come to GITMO, its the ultimate recruiting tool.

All I want to know from President Obama is since I know that the evil George Bush came into office in January 2001, who the hell blew up all the buildings, people and a ship or two to boot? See I'm just lost, terrorism grew by leaps and bounds through the Clinton years and we had a draft dodging Democrat for a president. See for the theory to work, that means Bill Clinton was evil too and we can't have that can we.

Before liberals including Obama start running their lips, maybe they should remember that on 9/12/2001, everybody and I mean everybody(that includes Pelosi and the rest)were all waiting for the next "waive" to come. Thanks to the Bush administration, it never did.

What 4 terrorists in New York really Mean to You & Me

The 4 men arrested in New York today are an interesting problem. They are 3 Americans and 1 Haitian. They had planted what they thought was a bomb inside a car outside the Riverdale Temple and they had 2 more devices with them they also thought were bombs, that were to be planted at another Jewish synagogue a few blocks away. The four of them stated they wanted to commit jihad and that they were disturbed about what was happening in Pakistan and Afghanistan because Muslims were being killed. They also wanted to use a Stinger Missile at a Air National Guard base in Newburgh. They wanted to shoot down a U.S.A.F. aircraft.

The four were sold fake c-4 and an inert Stinger missile by an FBI informant. What is clear here is that the 3 Americans all had recent criminal records, all three were African American and all three had been converted to Islam, probably while in prison. The fourth suspect the Haitian is also a Muslim. The real question is how did they come to hate America so much that they would attack their own country? They have never been to Pakistan, unless new information comes to light, they have had no contacts with Jews that would require killing them. None of them are veterans of the armed services so their hate directed toward the military is purely against the United States as a whole.

What we need to understand here is that these men are career criminals who believed they found religion and now are saved. This can happen with any religion, but it seems that the Muslim religion has a particular problem with people getting worked up and killing people. The American culture is bending over backwards for the Muslim faith, but political correctness could be fatal. If these men where converted to Islam in prison then we need to find the prison, find any links we can and dismantle them. Religion or not. These are home grown terrorists, sympathizers with a cause, the cause is harming America. We need to weed out any of their friends, their associates, their Imams, anyone that could have helped or promoted their actions. The American people deserve to know that the government who did excellent work on this, is being vigilant to the final degree. Anyone involved with these people needs to be prosecuted under the law, to include any religious figures involved.

Now we will find out how determined the Obama administration is about protecting the American home land. They can not back off when they offend people, they need to let the FBI follow this to conclusion, bar none. Lets see if the "community organizer" has the nerve to dismantle this community. Honestly I doubt he does, his Department of Homeland Security is busy watching conservatives, veterans, republicans, libertarians, gun owners, anyone who isn't black and poor pretty much covers it. In case you missed it, that was "his" community, now we will see if he has what it takes to go after his community, not ours. These people are not any of the types of people our government is warning law enforcement about, so what happened to the great profile, its the same people who went on television a few years back telling every news organization in the world that the "D.C. Sniper" was a disgruntled middle aged white man. I guess we all know how well that worked.
